SPEAKING TASKS
Use the microphone feature on the iPod Touch. Students can record their audio, listen, and email to the teacher as a file. This app is common sense and easy to use. |
Provide the students with the teacher-created Google Voice phone number.
The students can call the Google Voice number and leave a message or send text (SMS) messages. The recording will be saved on Google Voice along with an embed code that can be published for other students to listen / respond to. You can forward calls and texts to up to 3 different phone numbers - without giving out your personal numbers. |
There are free and paid versions of this app.
Students can record, review, and edit portions of their audio recording. You can add bookmarks to sections of the recording. If students were given a spoken task with multiple components, like answering a series of questions, they could mark each new question. The finished recording could be emailed or uploaded over a wireless network to a computer using the website Imesart (which is the company that developed the app). |
